Millcreek Topsoil is a licensed, insured, veteran and locally owned Topsoil company with 40 years of Soil preparation and amending experience. Delivery of up to 20 yards per load in Salt Lake County.

What is Topsoil Made of?

Topsoil is composed of soil containing a small percentage of organic material that is rich in nutrients. The bulk of topsoil is comprised of clay, sand and silt. It developed slowly on the topmost layer of the Earth's surface and there is very little “Topsoil” left in Utah so 99% of soil comes by mixing silt, clay and sand to create “Screened” soil.

Recreating TOpsoil & its uses

We mix screened soil with finely ground aged organic compost in a 50/50 ratio to create a balanced blend that offers the best of both worlds: the structure and stability of soil combined with the nutrient-rich goodness of compost. By enriching the soil with beneficial bacteria and nutrients, this blend provides an excellent foundation for healthy plant growth. It is ideal as a base for sod, grass seed or growing plants, trees and vegetables.
